• Check your child’s temperature and ensure they are well and have no symptoms. 

  • If your child or any member of your family develops symptoms, keep your child at home, contact the studio on 01908 672920 and cancel attendance.  Get you, your child or family member tested and advise the studio of the test results as soon as possible. Your child’s place will remain open until after your isolation period is over. 

  • Use the toilet before leaving home, as toilets in the studio are limited. 

  • Ensure your child is wearing the correct dance uniform – there are NO changing facilities during the Sept-Dec term.

  • Door 2 – Lounge Front Door

  • Door 3 – Reception Rear Door

  • Door 4 – Lounge Rear Door



  • Students must arrive to class between 5 min and 15 mins before a class – i.e., if a class starts at 16h45, drop off no later than 16h40 and no earlier than 16h30.

  • If you arrive after the drop off time slot you will have to return home. We cannot allow late comers into the studio under any circumstances as they will not be able to be accompanied by a staff member to / from the training studio.

  • Only one adult to accompany a student to the designated drop off door.

  • No adult or unregistered sibling/child will be allowed into the building.

  • Parents, siblings will not be allowed to wait in dressing rooms, lounge, or reception area.

  • Ensure your child arrives wearing the correct dance uniform.

  • Your child can wear a coat or onesie (outside clothes) over their dance uniform.

  • Changing facilities are NOT currently available due to Covid19.. 

  • Dance shoes and/or additional dance uniform must be carried in 1 (one) small bag.

  • Please provide your child with a water bottle with their name on it. 

  • No other food or drink is permitted into the building.

  • Your child will be met at the door by a member of our team.

  • Once at the door they will have their temperature taken and recorded on the class register. 

    • If the temperature is high (37.8C or greater as per government regulation), you will have to return home and isolate until your temperature has dropped. 

  • Students will be asked to sanitize hands. This is a requirement – if students do not wish to sanitize their hands they will not be allowed into the studio.

  • Students will change their outside shoes / clothes when in the studio.

  • Once you have dropped off your child please leave the area immediately to allow other parents to drop off.



  • Students will remain in a studio for the duration of their time at Dancebox -   teachers will move between studios. 

  • If you child has a ‘gap’ between classes, they will be asked to wait INSIDE the studio with their class bubble – there will be no changing room to wait in.

  • Students will be socially distanced from staff and other students whilst in the studio. 

  • The maximum number of people in a studio will be 16 (15 students + 1 teacher).

  • It is up to you if you want your child to wear gloves and/or facemask.  Please supply if needed. 

  • Zoom sessions will continue for certain classes where parents have requested ZOOM attendance, via our ‘Face-to Face or Zoom’ survey and for all Tiny / Little Stars, due to parents not being able to attend classes. These will continue until further notice – please note classes will take place at the scheduled time and will not be recorded.



  • Students to be collected no more than 15 minutes after class.

  • At the end of the lesson students will change into their outdoor shoes and clothes before leaving the studio and wait inside the building, queuing at the relevant collection door.

  • When you arrive to collect your child, ensure you queue at the allocated door observing social distancing measures. 

  • At the collection time, the doors will open, and your child will be asked to sanitize hands when leaving the studio.

  • The assistant will release students to waiting parents in order; please wait your turn, do not request your child to leave ahead of other parents in the queue.

  • Please do not talk to the teachers or assistants at the door. 

  • This holds things up for everyone else and we need keep things moving smoothly.

  • Contact the studio immediately, via the landline, if you are running late. If the student is NOT collected on time, the parent will be charged a late collection fee of £5 for every 15 mins, or part thereof, until the student is collected. The penalty is in place to mitigate delays and, subsequently, our ability to run a Covid safe environment.



  • If any child becomes unwell or develops any symptoms of COVID-19 family will be contacted and they will be sent home and advised to follow the staying at home guidance, the temperature may be checked if the child is complaining of feeling unwell.

  • If parents need clinical advice, they (parent or guardian) should go online to NHS 111 (or call 111 if they don’t have internet access).

  • In an emergency, call 999 if they are seriously ill or injured or their life is at risk. Do not visit the GP, pharmacy, urgent care centre or a hospital.

  • In most cases, closure of Dancebox Studios will not be needed but this decision will be made based on various factors including the risk of further spread. If there is a positive test, parents will be informed, and the bubble will have to close.

  • This is a fast-evolving situation and we will monitor and share any new advice at the earliest opportunity.
