TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF TRAINING

CANCELLATIONS, WITHDRAWALS AND PUNCTUALITY

  • Dance classes are paid for by contracted monthly automatic payment. No refunds will be made for dance classes missed.

  • Email admin@danceboxstudios.co.uk to request your class cancellation form.

  • One full calendar months’ notice is required for withdrawals and the final monthly payment/s taken on receipt of the Cancellation Form.

  • The cancellation date (and the start of the notice period) is the date the form is returned to Dancebox Studios, NOT the date cancellation is first discussed.

  • If Dancebox Studios cancels a class, we will contact you by email or telephone. We will always aim to reschedule any cancelled classes but if this is not possible, we will offer you credit to the value of the cancelled class.

  • Late Arrival Policy - Dancebox Studios operates a 10-minute maximum late arrival policy . This policy is in place to prevent injury and to be mindful of the teacher and other participants in the class.

  • Late Collection Policy - We have a 10 minute collection window after each class. Please contact the studio immediately via the landline if you are running late. If the student is NOT collected on time the account holder will be charged a late collection fee of £5 for every 10 mins, or part thereof, after the 10 minute collection window, until the student is collected. This will be automatically charged to your stored card.

REFUND POLICY – Workshops/Summer School Etc

  • If Dancebox Studios cancels an entire workshop a full refund will be offered. If you attend weekly class/es we will credit your monthly class account, if you are not a student, we will refund the card payment was taken from.

  • If student cancels (days=calendar days): 31+ days before start date 90% refund, 21-30 days before start date 50% refund, 14-21 days before start date 20% refund, 0-13 days before start date 0% refund.

  • Cancellation must be sent to admin@danceboxstudios.co.uk

 

MEDICAL AND HEALTH

  • If your child does not exercise regularly you should consult your GP before participation.  As with any dance-based tuition, there is the risk of injury whilst participating in class.

  • Dancebox Studios Ltd. is not responsible to evaluate if any child is medically fit to receive dance instruction.  The Parent/Guardian agrees to independently seek such medical advice.

  • By agreeing to these Terms & Conditions you confirm that your child has no health problems including cardiac irregularities; spinal, bone, joint, tendon or ligament injuries; spells of dizziness; asthma or other breathing difficulties; diabetes; epilepsy or any allergy which may affect your participation in classes at the studio.

  • In consideration of being allowed to participate in the activities and programs of Dancebox Studios and to use the facilities and equipment owned and/or under the control of Dancebox Studios, you hereby waive, release and forever discharge Dancebox Studios from any and all responsibility or liability for injuries or damages resulting from your child’s participation in any activities or your use of equipment or facilities in the above-mentioned activities.

  • It is the client's sole responsibility to notify the studio before attending any session of any circumstances affecting their child’s health which may be exacerbated through continued use of the studio and/or which may have arisen or worsened since their last session at the studio.

 

SAFETY, HYGIENE AND PERSONAL GROOMING

  • In the interests of safety and hygiene, no crockery, glass or food are permitted in the studio. Only closed containers of water are permitted in the studio.

  • No pets are permitted in the studio building.

  • Students must use the main entrance to the studio when entering or leaving the studio. Fire exits, which are clearly marked, are there in the interests of safety and must not be interfered with for any reason. In the event of a fire, clients are asked to make their way to the nearest available exit.

  • Smoking is forbidden in the studio.

  • During class, Members must wear the Dancebox Studios uniform as directed. 

  • Outdoor shoes are not permitted in the studio.

  • Hair must be worn in a bun for ballet and swept back off the face for all other subjects.

 

PHOTOGRAPHY AND FILM

  • Dancebox Studios may occasionally photograph or film classes for advertising and publicity material. 

  • The Parent/Guardian of the child grants permission for the display, distribution, publication, transmission or otherwise of any photographs/video footage taken of their child for use in material that includes but may not be limited to print, digital images or social media.

 

SAFE TOUCH POLICY

  • The Parent/Guardian understands and agrees that during class, some physical contact may be necessary between the instructor and their child.  Physical instruction, which involves safe touch, is an essential tool for effective teaching and learning i.e. awareness of correct muscle usage, good posture, correct line and breathing techniques.

  • Company instructors will always work in an open environment avoiding private unobserved situations. 

  • Any intention behind physical contact will be professional and unambiguous. 

  • Any physical contact during class will be firm, direct and necessary. 

 

PERSONAL BELONGINGS

  • Dancebox Studios does not accept responsibility for any items lost or stolen whilst on the premises.

  • Items should not be left outside the studio or in the waiting areas.

  • All lost or unnamed items will be donated to Dancebox Studios nominated charity at the end of each term
