  • Our Covid19 policy is available HERE.

  • The DSTW Covid19 policy must be followed and adhered to by all DSTW members.

  • Failure to comply will result in the termination of contract/s.

  • Zoom classes will only be provided when we are placed in a national lockdown OR if we have to isolate an entire DSTW bubble.

  • No refunds or reduced pricing will be offered for zoom classes.

  • If you wish to cancel your contract during lockdown our normal cancellation procedure applies (see below).



  • Classes take place during a school term.

  • Contracts are paid via stored credit/debit card (not direct debit).

  • Payments are taken on the 1st of each month regardless of school holidays.

  • If you get a new card please contact the studio to give your new 16-digit card number and expiry date.

  • No refunds will be made for classes missed, regardless of reason.

  • If, by the 5th of the month, payment is outstanding a £10.00 late fee will be billed to your account. 

  • If payment is not made by the last class of a month your contract will be cancelled.

  • If DSTW postpones a class, we will reschedule. If you cannot attend the rescheduled class, we will credit your next monthly payment the pro-rata class fee. If DSTW moves a class and you cannot attend, we will cancel your contract with no finance penalties.



  • DSTW contracts are rolling, year on year contracts NOT monthly or termly contracts.

  • One full calendar months’ notice is required when cancelling contract/s.

  • Your notice period starts from the date of receipt of the cancellation form.

  • Your final full payment is taken on the 1st of the month, following cancellation submission.

    • i.e. if you submit your cancellation 5th June, the final payment is due 1st July.

  • We are unable to close a contract without the form or the final payment.

  • You are OF COURSE welcome to attend all classes during your final month/notice period.



  • Private classes are block booked one month in advance UNLESS it is an one off audition or exam prep class.

  • You can reschedule a private lesson anytime up to 12 hours before a lesson starts - to reschedule email admin@danceboxstudios.co.uk.

  •  If you cancel the lesson less than 12 hours before it starts, you will lose the class and there will be no refund.



  • Arrival: We reserve the right to remove a student from a class or a performance if they arrive 10 minutes after the scheduled start time., this is primarily due to health and safety concerns.

  • Collection:  A late collection fee of £12.50, per 30 minutes or part thereof, will be billed to your card if a student is collected late. This charge is in place to cover our teachers time whilst they wait with your child.


  • If DSTW cancels a workshop/event a full refund will be offered following the below process:

    • If you attend weekly classes the refund will be applied to your monthly account. If you do not attend weekly classes we will refund the card payment was taken from.

  • If a parent / student cancels, the following applies

    • 31+ days before the workshop/event = 90% refund. 14 - 30 days before workshop/event = 50% refund. 7 – 13 days before workshop/event = 25% refund. 0-6 days before workshop/event = 0% refund.

  • Please refer to our Covid policy for specific Covid19 health policies.

  • If your child does not exercise regularly you should consult your GP before participation.  As with any performing arts-based tuition, there is the risk of injury whilst participating in class.

  • DSTW is not responsible to evaluate if any child is medically fit to receive instruction.  The Parent/Guardian agrees to independently seek such medical advice.

  • By agreeing to these Terms & Conditions you confirm that your child has no health problems including cardiac irregularities; spinal, bone, joint, tendon or ligament injuries; spells of dizziness; asthma or other breathing difficulties; diabetes; epilepsy or any allergy which may affect your participation in classes at the studio.

  • In consideration of being allowed to participate in the activities and programs of DSTW  Studios and to use the facilities and equipment owned and/or under the control of DSTW, you hereby waive, release and forever discharge DSTW from any and all responsibility or liability for injuries or damages resulting from your child’s participation in any activities or your use of equipment or facilities in the above-mentioned activities.

  • It is the client's sole responsibility to notify the studio before attending any session of any circumstances affecting their child’s health which may be exacerbated through continued use of the studio and/or which may have arisen or worsened since their last session at the studio.



  • In the interests of safety and hygiene, no crockery, glass or food are permitted in the studio.

  • Only closed containers of water are permitted in the studio.

  • No pets are permitted in the studio building.

  • Fire exits, which are clearly marked, are there in the interests of safety and must not be interfered with for any reason. In the event of a fire, clients are asked to make their way to the nearest available exit.

  • Smoking is forbidden in the studio.

  • During class, members must wear the DSTW uniform as directed.

  • Outdoor shoes are not permitted in the studio.

  • Hair must be worn in a bun for ballet and swept back off the face for all other subjects.



  • All uniform is purchased from our online store and uniform is compulsory for all classes.

  • If you are unsure of the size needed, click the ‘read more’ section.

  • Tap and modern shoes are generally sized the same as outdoor shoes.

  • Ballet shoes are generally sized a size UP from outdoor shoes.

  • Items may only be returned for resizing/refund if unworn, unmarked, and returned in ALL the original packaging.  

  • When fitting dance shoes, please walk on a carpet - we do not accept any shoe back into stock with a mark or scuff on the sole.

  • To start the returns process email reception@danceboxstudios.co.uk to explain the issue and correct size needed. 

  • Return the item to DSTW reception ASAP to check and book back into stock. 

  • If we have the correct size, we will issue immediately. If the item is not in stock, we will order for you.


  • Production Participation fee includes your costume (which is your to keep after), additional rehearsal time, show t-shirt,, cast photo.

  • The production participation fee is non-refundable regardless of situation for cancelling as the fee covers costs which are incurred at point of production inception

  • Costumes are ordered bespoke for the specific performer -should you leave DSTW before the costume is issued, the costume will be withheld by DSTW and issued AFTER the production. Should your costume be used as an emergency replacement during the run we will issue a full credit, should the costume not be used you can collect after the show.

  • By performing in a Dancebox show you grant permission for the display, distribution, publication, transmission or otherwise of any photographs/video footage taken of their child for use in material that includes but may not be limited to print, digital images or social media.

  • Attendance to all rehearsals and classes in the Spring term run up to the production are compulsory - we reserve the right to withdraw students from the show with no refund of production participation fees if we feel poor attendance will effect their performance and confidence.,



  • DSTW may occasionally photograph or film classes for advertising and publicity material. By joining DSTW the Parent/Guardian of the student grants permission for the display, distribution, publication, transmission or otherwise of any photographs/video footage taken of their child for use in material that includes but may not be limited to print, digital images, or social media. Should you not wish to retract permission for the above please advise via email, admin@danceboxstudios.co.uk.



  • The Parent/Guardian understands and agrees that during class, some physical contact may be necessary between the instructor and their child.  Physical instruction, which involves safe touch, is an essential tool for effective teaching and learning i.e. awareness of correct muscle usage, good posture, correct line and breathing techniques. Company instructors will always work in an open environment avoiding private unobserved situations. Any intention behind physical contact will be professional and unambiguous. Any physical contact during class will be firm, direct, and necessary.



  • DSTW does not accept responsibility for any items lost or stolen whilst on the premises. We strongly recommend all personal belongings, coats, shoes, uniform etc. clearly shows the student’s name. All unnamed and/or unclaimed items will be donated to a charity at the end of each term.
